Bloomington Fall Colors '04 (Oct 2004)
|
|
Hmmm, finally got around to taking pictures this fall -- and did so at the right time, I guess. [Almost decided to not take fall color
pictures this year -- a combination of not walking to work + general lethargy].
This year, fall's been better compared to last year -- been more uniform and in general the place has looked more colorful.

Part 1: Griffy Lake (Oct 17 2004)
|
This was my first pass -- went down to Griffy lake on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon and captured some nice pics of the dense vegetation out there. Plus those reflections on water - I love them! At the end of this section: a sample of how the fallen leaves can be hard to clear out!
IMG_0368.JPG shows how these trees look in fall, compare with a snapshot of almost the same location back in spring when the trees were struggling to come back to life
[Part of it could be attributed to the persistent cold weather as well as the amount of sun light they receive as opposed to other trees around town.]

Part 2: Around Town (Oct 24 2004)
|
Another glorious sunny day! Went around town, and also took my big steady tripod with me.
On SR 45/46 & 17th street around the Assembly Hall area...
IMG_0402.JPG and IMG_0421.JPG give a rough idea on how it feels to drive down Bloomington roads in fall!

Then down to Indiana Ave. near the Memorial Union and finally near the Main library. Including a close-up of a leaf with green + yellow + red colors!

Last but not the least: Panaromic snaps with self explanatory names...
