The Campus Grids workshop was held in the Division of Engineering building within the Harvard campus (first picture). Later in the evening, there was a festival at Harvard Square. There was a dog rescue event... Plus lots of food/music/so forth... in general fun stuff on the streets including one guy who juggled balls and balanced a stroller on his nose!

On Monday, I figured that taking a little bus tour was the only way I could get some off-time from the conference without missing out on workshop sessions I'd intended to go to. So off I went to do a Old Town Bus tour...The tour included a short walking tour, which is in a separate section of its own below.

Some interesting things I managed to capture in the Old Town Bus tour: America's first publishing house? State building that has a Gold plated dome on top Walking JFK statue Restaurants with rather funny names Massachusetts General Hospital View across Charles River Main Street where the MIT book store is located at Berklee College of Music!!Among others, one of my favorite guitarists Nuno Bettencourt went to school there... Cheers Bar -- supposedly very famous in Boston, didn't get a chance to check it out Trinity Church Couple of "Cool Reflections" off those glass building :-)

Like I said, as part of the Old Town tour, there was the Beacon Hill Walk tour...in which we walked past some interesting spots. Some of which, I managed to take a picture of...

Junction of Vernon st. and Joy st. -- once considered "The worst whoredom in America!". Why is it next to the state building?? "No coincidence!", says Steve our tour guide. A 15 million dollar house! Senator John Kerry's house! and the street it is located at. Where Robert Frost used to live... Acorn Street -- Supposedly, one of the most photographed street in Boston; Where servants once used to live, now a house costs half a million dollars!
