• It has been been a beautiful spring this time around in B'town. It's been a lot warmer for the best part. The transition has been absolutely awesome! I've been able to see the place coming back to life; that's what I've tried to capture in these pictures, hope I've done a decent job :-).

• I've been taking pictures in Griffy Lake (which is about 3 miles from where I live), Bryan Park (a 10 min walk from where I live, an awesome place) and various streets, etc. Pretty much, the whole place has been looking pretty!

• As the title suggests, these pictures are taken on various days -- starting Mid-March through Mid-April; dates are mentioned below at certain points. One of the many advantages of walking/biking to work instead of driving!

March 13 2004

Serene bluesy day; B'town still partially dead. Griffy lake was still devoid of much vegetation. Managed one of my favorite Sun shots.

Bryan Park (second row) was much greener as the macro-mode snap of fresh grass shows.

Notice what a difference, one day can make especially if it rains a bit. The last 2 snaps are again around the Informatics building but much greener!
(2117 and 2131 are essentially the same location, differenly focussed)

Fourth Row: The park area behind IMU. Once again, the first picture, isn't it cool?

Fifth Row: Going across the park area behind IMU towards Informatics. Down Woodlawn North, the colors were really nice that day.

And last but not the least, (the) 'one of the best' sights I was talking about previously -- looking east across the Woodlawn field.

But the area around IMU was looking good as ever (6th April) as was the area surrounding Wrubel Computing Center (where I work with the RATS folks on Teragrid)

And the surrounding area -- third street and S.Henderson leading to Indiana Ave.

But it should be fairly clear, what I meant by "almost end of spring".

Notice in 2209 and its closeup 2211, the colorful flowery thingies disappearing and the corresponding appearence of green leaves. The transition is almost complete.

Also, notice the difference between 2144 and 2224 -- basically the same place but the colors have changed from red & white to almost brown & green+white.
(Actually they've turned green now -- April 24).
